We Deliver Extra Care For You

Priya is the lead teacher who connects with students through yoga to build focus, regulation, and overall well-being. She designs sessions that combine movement, breath, and mindfulness in a way that is simple, engaging, and effective for children.

Every child is unique, so programs are tailored to their strengths, needs, and pace. Sessions typically begin one-on-one to build trust, comfort, and a strong foundation. As the child progresses, sessions may include partner or small group classes (2:1 or 3:1), based on the child’s readiness, behavior, and skill level. Priya will thoughtfully decide and guide this transition.

Happy Yoga provides a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where children can relax, build confidence, and develop skills to manage everyday challenges.

“If every 8 year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” – Dalai Lama

Our class covers:

  1. Warm-up exercises
  2. 8 walk or infinity walk; It involves walking in a figure-eight pattern to help improve coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
  3. Surya Namaskar or sun salutation in a simplified version; the practice of sun salutation can enhance memory and boost the functioning of the nervous system. Moreover, it aids in reducing anxiety and inducing a calming effect.
  4. Various Breathing techniques to help them feel calm and regulated, both in the yoga studio and each day in their busy and active lives.
  5. Eye exercises.
  6. Meditation- Simple guided meditation that is tailored according to their skills.
  7. Theme based Yoga poses (animals, nature, etc.) -Yoga poses have the potential to enhance concentration, flexibility, and strength, while promoting coordination and reducing stress and anxiety levels. These poses are tailored based on the needs of the child.
  8. Through out the class, affirmations are encouraged as a means to promote positivity.

"I started practicing yoga with my kid at Happy Yoga about a year ago, and I can honestly say that it has been an amazing experience. Priya is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about yoga, and she creates a very welcoming and supportive environment that makes you feel comfortable no matter your skill level. I always leave feeling more centered and energized than when I arrived.

What I find unique about Happy Yoga is our instructor, Priya. She is extremely patient and spends time and energy in understanding my child and his unique needs and then designs her class accordingly to work on those needs. Her real effort to get to know students personally and then focus on their needs is something I value extremely highly. I am so grateful for everything she does for our kids, and I always look forward to coming to class with my child.

Overall, I would highly recommend Happy Yoga to anyone looking to improve their kids' physical and mental well-being. I find Happy Yoga to be an inspiring space that helps us focus and calms our mind after a stressful day, and helps us grow and thrive."
